E-MED at TRA 2026: contributing to the future of transport innovation in Europe

21/05/2026

The E-MED_Interreg project continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable, smart and user-centred mobility by supporting the participation of its partners in key European forums for transport research and innovation.

One of these major milestones is the Transport Research Arena 2026, known as TRA 2026, Europe’s flagship conference dedicated to transport research and innovation. Initiated by the European Commission and key transport stakeholders, TRA is the largest European conference of its kind, covering all transport modes and a wide range of mobility-related challenges.

The 2026 edition, hosted in Budapest, will bring together academia, industry, policymakers and civil society to discuss the future of transport in Europe and beyond. The event will showcase European and global know-how, while putting the spotlight on young researchers and next-generation mobility solutions.

Within this framework, E-MED_Interreg is pleased to highlight the participation of its project partner CERTH, whose work contributes to the development of more efficient, sustainable and innovative transport systems.

CERTH’s involvement in TRA 2026 reflects the collaborative spirit of the E-MED_Interreg project and its role in supporting knowledge exchange, research dissemination and innovation across the Euro-MED area.

Through this participation, the E-MED_Interreg project reinforces its commitment to knowledge exchange, innovation and sustainable transport across the Euro-MED area, contributing to the transformation of mobility systems and supporting the transition towards a more sustainable future.
